EDAWN (Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada) projects a significant housing shortage for our area if new housing growth doesn’t pick-up substantially. Based on their EPIC report, new jobs will outgrow new housing by 20,000 units within the next three years.
The EPIC Report’s scenario B, which forecast for 5,400 new jobs in the 5 years beginning 2015 has been very close to the actual job growth so far.
